Terms of Service

1. What Mivo is

Mivo is a tool for collecting video references on boards. You give it a link or a file, and it stores that material in your account so you can find it and play it later, including without an internet connection.

Mivo is operated by Pactio. Contact: kontakt@pactio.pl.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Mivo. Keep your login details to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your content, and what we do with it

Mivo provides storage space. You are responsible for what you store in it. We do not select, review, edit or curate the material on your boards. We act on your instruction: you decide what goes on a board, and the service stores it for you.

You keep all rights to what you upload or save. You give us only the narrow permission we need to actually run the service — to store your material, convert it into formats that play on your devices, generate thumbnails, and show it to you and to anyone you invite to your board. Nothing more. We do not use your material to promote Mivo, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone you have not invited.

By saving material to a board, you confirm that you either hold the necessary rights, or that your use is covered by an exception in the law that applies to you — for example private use, quotation, or research. Deciding that is your call, not ours. If you are not sure whether you may store something, do not store it.

We do not monitor boards and we have no general obligation to do so. We do not claim to know what is on them.

4. What must not go on a board

Do not use Mivo to store or share material that:

Also, do not resell access to Mivo, and do not use it to build a public library or redistribution service. Mivo is for your own reference work and your invited collaborators.

5. Reporting content

If you believe material stored on Mivo infringes your rights or is otherwise unlawful, write to kontakt@pactio.pl with the subject line Content report. Please include:

We review reports and act on them without undue delay. Where a report is justified we remove or disable access to the material, and we tell the account holder what was removed and why, so they can respond. If we get it wrong, tell us and we will restore it.

Accounts that repeatedly store infringing material will be suspended.

6. Plans and payment

Mivo has a free plan and paid plans. Prices are shown in the app and on our site, in your local currency, including any applicable tax. The price you are shown before you confirm is the price you are charged.

A monthly subscription renews each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. A lifetime purchase is a single payment for continued access to the paid features, for as long as Mivo operates as a service.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

7. Changing your mind

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase without giving a reason. Because Mivo gives you access immediately, by starting to use the paid features within those 14 days you ask us to begin at once and accept that you lose the right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed. If you have not used the paid features, write to us within 14 days and we will refund you in full.

8. Availability, and ending things

We aim to keep Mivo running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change or discontinue features.

You can delete your account at any time. Doing so deletes your boards and the material stored in them, and this cannot be undone. Export anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Except where the law requires otherwise, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

If we shut Mivo down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your material. If you hold a lifetime plan, we will refund a fair part of what you paid.

9. Our side of it

The Mivo name, logo, software and design are ours. These terms do not give you the right to use them beyond using the service itself.

Mivo is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost work or lost material. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or intentional harm. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

If a claim is brought against us because of material you stored, you are responsible for it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you at least 14 days before it takes effect, and you can close your account before then if you disagree.

11. Law

Polish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim before your local courts.
